Mothers Huge Mistake – 400 Pound Teen Son

An Orlando, Florida mother is catching heat from DCF for “allowing” her 13-year-old son to grow into a 400 pound behemoth. Assuming that Josiah Lewis weighed 15 pounds at birth, his mother Brenda’s feeding habits resulted in weight gain of about 30 pounds per year. That’s crazy. If this trend continues, he’ll weigh a ton by age 33.

The problem is, authorities are questioning how long the poor kid will live. He has both diabetes and high blood pressure, conditions which doctors say are life-threatening to him. As such, the Department of Children and Families has the power to remove Josiah from his home. They’re thinking of doing just that.

The mother’s excuse: she doesn’t know how to control him. She claims that she can’t get her morbidly obese son to take his medications or to stop eating. “He didn’t come with a manuscript or a guide,” says the mom. “I (have) just been working my way through.” Oh, you mean your kid didn’t come with an instruction manual such as “Motherhood for Dummies?” Where’d you get him, eBay? Get real lady.

Is this a case of Munchausen by Proxy? Should Josiah be removed from his home, at least temporarily, so that he can lose weight and get his health back in order?

Nude Model Arrested….For Being Nude

A 26-year-old model was arrested in New York for posing nude in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Not surprisingly, she was posing next to the classic nude paintings. No, the paintings weren’t arrested too.

Kathleen Neill was being photographed by Zach Hyman, a photographer who often shoots (with a camera!) naked women in public places. Hyman had this to say: “Everything was going perfect until the very end. Then it became a worst-case scenario.” A warrior of wit you are, Mr. Hyman. Sure everything was going perfect – you spent the day staring at a naked chick.

Does anyone else find this guy’s last name a bit ironic? With a story like this, you couldn’t make a name like that up…

Coked Up: 90 Percent of U.S. Money has Traces of Cocaine

A recent study shows that 90% of U.S. paper money contains traces of cocaine. Perhaps not surprisingly, $5, $10, $20, and $50 bills are more likely to have traces of the drug than $1 bills. Next time you tell your kid not to put their hands in their mouth after touching money, remember to add their nose to that equation.

It is possible that bills testing positive for cocaine may not have actually been used by someone snorting the drug, but may have come into contact with other such bills inside dollar counting machines at banks. The study also revealed that the levels of cocaine found on the bills is not enough to spark any health alarms. However, bank tellers who deal with large quantities of bills can inhale enough cocaine “dust” to actually test positive for the drug. That explains alot – how else could bank tellers appear so happy and stimulated in an arguably not-so-stimulating and happy line of work?

The United States had the highest (no pun intended) percentage of tainted currency, followed by Canada.

President of Costa Rica has Swine Flu!

It’s confirmed: Oscar Arias, President of Costa Rica, is infected with the H1N1 virus. His doctors say that overall he is in good health. That’s the first time I’ve heard someone with the pig flu referred to as being in good health. That’s like calling Rosie O’Donnell athletic.

Hopefully the swine flu won't affect his near perfect part.
