Donte Stallworth Kills Man, Loses 1 Year of Pay

Posted on 13 August 2009 by Brian Karpf

Cleveland Browns receiver Donte Stallworth was suspended Thursday for the 2009-2010 NFL season, without pay. Boo hoo. This comes after he pled guilty to hitting and killing a man with his Bentley while driving drunk. Just last year, Donte Stallworth signed a 7-year contract worth an estimated 35 million bucks.

Stallworth, 28, spent 30 days in jail and reach an undisclosed financial settlement with the victim’s family. Critics say he got off easy. I’m sure TO disagrees. I mean come on, the man did have to live for a month outside of his palatial home. Plus, now his contract is really only worth a cool $28 mil. Where’s the justice!
