Michael Vick: Goodbye Dirty Bird, Helloooo Eagles!

Posted on 13 August 2009 by Brian Karpf

The infamous PETA rebel has not taken a snap in over 2 years, having just completed a federal prison sentence for charges related to his dogfighting activities. Susan Crosby, CEO of The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, had this to say:

“Philadelphia is a city of dog lovers and most particularly, pit bull lovers…to root for someone who participated in the hanging, drowning, electrocution and shooting of dogs will be impossible for many, no matter how much we would all like to see the Eagles go all the way.” Michael Vick Signs Philadelphia Eagles

Come on Susan, you’ll be eating those words by October, when Vick’s suspension is over and he steps on Lincoln Financial Field. It may be a different story for Falcons fans, when the Eagles come to Atlanta to play on December 6.

  1. Woodruff says:

I operate with these dogs and as far as animal behavior goes, I am a strong believer in nurture and instruction. I’ve met Jack Russell Terriers that I would not go near again, but have by no means had a awful knowledge with an American Staffordshire Terrier. If you are speaking about their owners- nicely, that’s a different story. People are creatures as nicely, and we often each have our individual ideas about “moral concepts”.
