NHL Star brawls – with a cabbie??

Posted on 10 August 2009 by Brian Karpf

Patrick Kane of Chicago Blackhawks fame allegedly beat the daylights out of a cab driver over the weekend. The reason: The driver couldn’t give Kane change of 20 cents (that’s right, 2 dimes, 20 pennies, you get the point). On a $13.80 fare, Kane paid with $15 and was only given a $1 back because the driver had no coins. The cab driver’s tip: Kane and his cousin (it was a doubleteam) choking and decking him. They then took back the money they paid.

The Kanes are charged with robbery and criminal mischief. Gotta love the imminently forthcoming settlement. It was 20 cents (4 nickels). Come on Kane, get a grip and save it for the ice – the season is around the corner!
